Set UCS to standard views

Hello All,

In Autocad I would usually type in -V for View, and then T for Top, F for front (etc) and AutoCAD would set the view, and also have the UCS set to that new view (i.e. I could begin drawing in and know that X was horizontal and Y was vertical).

In bricsCAD I am doing the same thing, typing in -V for view and then T for top etc, but it is not setting the UCS to the view - I have to then type in UCS and set it to V for view. Is there a shortcut here I am missing? Teach a beginner the secrets.

  • There is a Setting for auto aligning the UCS to views.
I think it is quite handy.
    Forgot the Command name.

The only problem is that it will not change back to
layer xy plane when you go to a standard isometric
or perspective. So I deactivated it soon again.

  • I miss quite a few of these shortcuts in Bricscad, it's more of an issue when using scripts and macro's it means I can't keep a standard library of scripts and have to keep two versions updated.

  • @Michael Mayer is probably referring to the UCSORTHO setting.
