Drawing View Presets - Can you create custom presets?

Hi All,

I've been attempting to figure out how to modify default settings for Drawing Views.

When you invoke the command "viewbase" you can see that some kind of presets exist. If you create your base view from the command line, and choose the presets option, then you get a dialog box with the choices none (default), mechanical, and architectural. There are additional checkbox options, but these are ignored if "none" is selected. The checkbox options are applied if "mechanical" or "architectural" are selected, but these also apply other things (i.e. standardized views) that I don't want. The variables for the items in the dialog box are accessible from settings, but as far as I can tell there is no way to create additional preset types so that you can get drawing views created to your own preferences. Hopefully I'm wrong, if not I can work around it. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can apply my choice of presets to newly created drawing views?

Thanks,

JoeM
