  • This is a known issue, when background color differs from white. Possible ways to improve PDF displaying are the next:

    • use a white background (BKGCOLOR = 7)
    • select PDF and set its property "Adjust colors for background" to No (PDF background become white)
    • set variable PDFCACHE=0

You can choose, which one is more suitable for you.

  • Thanks for the tips, the PDFCACHE variable did help a lot. The 0 value caused alot of lagging, but 1 value did a better job.

    Thank you!

  • My policy is always convert pdf to image and attach the image. I get that its not as quick and dirty as attaching the pdf but then I have control of the resolution, image type and its compression, and plotting behavior.

Just saying in case you had same idea but felt like that was too heavy handed.

  • If it's a vector based PDF, then you would lose the ability to snap to points within the PDF. It would also impact on print quality.

BricsCAD actually dynamically converts PDF to an image to improve performance within the application. This feature is controlled by Site faviconPDFCACHE system variable - BricsCAD Lite & Pro | Bricsys Help Center

    .

There are also system variables you can play with to adjust the resolution of prints, such as

Site faviconPDFIMAGEANTIALIAS system variable - BricsCAD Lite & Pro | Bricsys Help Center

    These settings are grouped under

Site faviconPDFOPTIONS command - BricsCAD Lite & Pro | Bricsys Help Center
