Adaptive modelling not working SOLVED

Currently working on a project of 120 houses where I'm creating a model of the builing site, roads, footpaths, finished floor levels etc.

I crested all my surfaces etc and inevitably there has been changes issued to levels/curves/etc.

When I started the model everything was working correctly so if I changed the level of my boundary line, the surface would automatically change to suit it. However, BricsCAD crashed on me one dayand corrupted the file and I couldn't open it. Luckily the automatic backup file was available so I didn't lose much work however since then the adapatability of my model has gone.. If I change the level of a vertice on a 3DPoly, the surface does not adapt to it.

Is the a setting that I can turn on to change the surfaces to adapt automatically again?

  • Hello.

This might be about using TIN surfaces.
If this is the case, something to check is the status in Civil Explorer.
After selecting the surface in the list, the tab Definition (the second one) displays the operations performed on it.
There could be an operation that breaks the associativity with the original contours.

  • Yep, that's exactly what happened, merged 2 TIN surfaces together and itlost the breakline.

    Thank you for the help.
