DXF open over Explorer. Command DXF-IN is executed

Hy,

we use Ver 26.2.07 (x64).
A drawing is open in Briscad.

If i open a DXF file via Explorer by double-clicking, the DXF-IN command executed and then the DXF is imported.

However, I want to open the DXF file in a separate drawing, when i open the dxf-file over the explorer

    Yes, in the current V26.2.07 opening DXF file from File Explorer inserts it to active drawing. This problem has been corrected in V26.2.05, but reappeared. Developers are informed about this.

    I have this same problem. Opening from outlook, or windows explorer. (win 11)

    Had me puzzled for a while as I have just gotten a new version 26.2.07.

    Wondered where my dwg was going as it wasn't opening. Would be better if it came in as a block, could be useful then.

    How will I know if this is fixed please? Its causing a world of pain for me.

    Thanks- where do i find this, as this is a really bad problem, i open dxfs from explorer 5 - 10 times a day! is the only option to close Bricscad?

    Release notes are available under menu Help → Release Notes and publication on our site. Currently there are no updates about this issue yet. You can use version V26.2.05, which doesn't have this problem, if this is suitable for you.
