How to register additonal mouse buttons

I would like to add my 2 side buttons on my mouse to brisccad and set them up to use tools

I found the setting to add tools to the common mouse buttons, but not my iregular ones

    What mouse are you using? E.g. 3D Connexxion mice use the 3D Connexxion app in the system tray to set functionality to buttons, this can be general of application specific

    I use a essentially regular mouse 2 additional buttons

    Yes, Autohotkey is great for when a mouse doesn't have the wanted/needed customization options.

    General mice can be nice but I prefer to use a bit higher end gaming mice as an alternative, both for speed/accuracy and for customization but imho 3Dconnexion CAD mouse and navigator/spacemouse are generally the best for all day CAD etc. work from an ergonomic, functionality and customization perspective.

    And even then Autohotkey is still an option for those things that 3Dconnexion customization is not providing. 😊
