Bug when reloading Xrefs?!

Since V26 i have noticed that reloading xrefs doesn't work as expected but I have not seen anyone else mention this as a problem in the forum.

When I open the reference file and make changes, save and close, it tells me in the xref window that the file has changed. But when I reload, the change does not appear and the 'file changed' exclamation mark remains with the xref I have just reloaded. To see the changes, I have to close down the drawing and reopen as at this point all refernces are reloaded in their latest state.

Has anyone noticed that and if not, why does it only happen to me?

I have just updated to V26.2.09 and this remains an issue.

  • Yes, I have this problem and have to open design explorer and reload the xref that way. I contacted support and they said they couldn't replicate the problem !? It's the typical response I get these days.

The bug is also present on the Linux version.

  • I'm sorry you didn't get help from the support regarding this. There is a problem with xref reloading via context menu in V26 indeed, it's on correction already. Current workaround is to unload and reload the xref via context menu or using bulb icon on the Attachments panel.
As I see, your support request about this problem was added to the related task.

  • Turning the bulb icon on and off is a much quicker workaround than closing and re-opening the drawing! Thank you!

Glad this is being worked on!
