  •  Very Impressive!  I am curious to see a screen shot of one of your architectural projects if that doesn't infringe on any agreements - It looks like this would be very useful for funky stair designs...
  • Hi Scott,
it is not "pure architectural", but it shows the "cutting" of a road within
a landscape in order to develop a settlement...
To do it in Bricscad you need a SWEEPX for the road and SLICEX for the landscape command !
The second example is the conceptual alternatives for the roof design.
You need a SWEEPX for the building and LOFTX for the roof forms

  • Dear Konstantin,

a previously applied fix for property names was mistakenly reverted in V12.2.9.
Affected property names are: AllowDuplicates, RejectObjectsFromNonCurrentSpace and RejectPaperspaceViewPort.
The fix has been reapplied and is included in V12.2.11 which is about to be released.

This means that users of your application will not need the new version you just created.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.

It could be one of the new security features in .NET 4.0. Right click on the DLL, and choose  "unblock"

  • Hello Konstantin,

    I tried with V12.2.18 and V13.1.12, W7 x64 and XP w32.

  • Hsiao,

How are you trying to load the application ?
    Using the command NETLOAD ?

  • Konstantin,

Finally got around to trying out your 3D apps in V12 and the loftx works like a charm! Can you tell me if any of the commands will let you extrude a profile or solid to another surface? An example would be to extrude a pipe or cylinder to the outer dia. of a larger tank. Is this possible? Thanks for sharing the commands!

    Hsiao,
you can't directly "in one operation" loft a profile to a surface using the LOFTX command.
You can do it following these steps :
    1.  Loft the profile using a path curve ending outside the cylinder or tank solid,
so that the end face of the lofted solid is completely outside the cylinder or tank !
    2.  Using the EDGEX command on the tank or cylinder solid you get ALL faces of it as surfaces !
The EDGEX command is NON DESTRUCTIVE meaning that the original solid remains ! (it is neither exploded nor deleted)
    3.   Using the SLICEX command you can now slice the lofted-pipe solid by the outer surface of the cylinder or tank.
You delete the ouside part of the lofted-pipe solid and there you are ...!
The pipe "is quasi extended" to the outer surface of the tank.

You can automate steps 1-3 using Autolisp scripting :

    (defun c:ExtendSolid2Surface  ( / tank e2sol)
(setq tank   (car(entsel "Select Tank :"))    ;the outer surface of the tank !
e2sol  (car(entsel "Select  LoftedPipe :"))  ;the lofted pipe
             )
         (command "SLICEX" e2sol  ""  "S"  tank)
    )

    Hope this helps

    Regards
    Konstantin
