STEP opening

hi,

I cannot open a STEP file (which I often get from suppliers...). I found out that this is not possible with Bricscad.

But, how to open a step file and make dwg files of them (e.g. top view)?

I believe you need the platinum edition and the communicator add-on. Do you have these?

If not can your supplier provide a (ACAD) DWG rather than a step? There are also pay per-use online converters if buying the communicator add-on is not an option.
