Dimension Subdivision Plans

Hi there, I am struggling to find a quick way to dimension subdivision plans. I am having to go in and manually dimension each boundary and lot area, which is unbelievably time consuming.
Any ideas on how to do this quickly? I am guessing there must be a shortcut out there.

Thanks

  • I would look into tools from Dotsoft, link:
    https://dotsoft.com/mapworks.htm
There are likely others as the third party guys are all starting to make their acad tools work for bcad.
I did this very tool too but cannot sell it.
Part of the trick is using xref linework.
Look for tools for acad and they likely work for bcad, just not map and civil3d of course.

  • JamesM thanks for the mention!

TomW, below is a link to a short video showing labeling multiple objects.

The best way to find out for yourself is to request the 45-day full working evaluation of MapWorks. For v21 Pro users, we are well on our way to adopting the BricsCAD surface engine so all TINs created and used are BricsCAD surfaces !!!

  • There was a post today about lot numbering and obivously add area on forums\autodesk. Look up sea.haven
The only real issue with labelling lots is to not label all 4 sides but rather 3, the bpoly command is very useful for this type of thing if each lot is not a closed pline. Its about getting a proceedure in place like add lot number 1st then auto find all that text for all the other steps.

Lastly Google there is stuff out there.

If no one posts something post a dwg so can see how the lots were made.
