SAVEALL: Save all open files
The SAVEALL command doesn't do what I was hoping, to save all open files in BricsCAD at the same time, to avoid tabbing between them and save each individually. Is there another command that will do this?

Saveall should save all open files, regardless of whether there were changes made to that file or not. At least that is how it works on my end. I do have some add-ons installed so loading those add-ons when opening a file could cause something in the drawing to be considered as changed which might cause the saveall to work, but even without that it works as far I can tell.
What happens if you right click on a tab and select saveall?
Are you on Windows, Mac or Linux? It could be that there is a platform specific bug that you are running into.
