Hatch is associative maybe ? that means change shape and hatch will remap to suit.0

In my experience, associativity is often broken. Note first, that I am on v14. And I haven't spent more than a few minutes trying to figure out why. I do know that you have to select the option for the hatch to be made associative. Even if you do, the associativity often breaks.
When you use a "pick point in boundary" method, that is the most unreliable version. So, I am guessing that when moving both the boundary objects and the hatch, the point you selected doesn't move and may end up outside the boundary.

FLATTEN destroys hatch associativity, in fact the entire hatch pattern so you end up with lots of independent entities.0
