When i create a parametric block the hatch is'nt stretching with the outline

  • @fkl, Can you show us the drawing as it seems to work in my V22?
  • David,

today i tried it again with a new blockdefinition and it works ok.
Dont't know what I am doing different.
  • Hatch is associative maybe ? that means change shape and hatch will remap to suit.

In my experience, associativity is often broken. Note first, that I am on v14. And I haven't spent more than a few minutes trying to figure out why. I do know that you have to select the option for the hatch to be made associative. Even if you do, the associativity often breaks.

When you use a "pick point in boundary" method, that is the most unreliable version. So, I am guessing that when moving both the boundary objects and the hatch, the point you selected doesn't move and may end up outside the boundary.

  • FLATTEN destroys hatch associativity, in fact the entire hatch pattern so you end up with lots of independent entities.
