The problem is that the model is not a solid.

I need a 2d entity for CAM purposes. A customer sent these files to us like this. I was able to get a 2d version by using "region" command and then exploded everything. I was then able to erase the 3d extruded face, leaving just the 2d top profile.Thanks for the tips!

You could have also used the _Boundary command.
