Will BricsCad V15.1.21-1 install on Ubuntu 18.04?
I opened a V15 deb file with Ubuntu Software Install (Previously Software Center).
I got an install screen. When I clicked "install" the progress bar went quickly to 100% but nothing seemed to happen.
No software was registered. No BricsCad packages were found by Synaptic. I also get the same thing using BricsCad V18.1.17-1 deb file.
V15 works fine with Ubuntu 16.04.
What should I do?

Hi William
Maybe you could read and share your experiences here:

At least on Kubuntu, but I think I also did it on Ubuntu,
V18 and Shape installed properly on Linux 18.04 for me.0 -
Thanks for the answers. You've encouraged me to keep trying.
I'll probably find the install problem eventually.0 -
Still no solution. I'll keep searching.

The BricsCad Support staff bailed me out on this one.
They sent a link and instructions for me to download and install the following files.
libz.so.1
libz.so.1.2.11I recommend you contact BricsCad support if you think you may have a similar problem.

As far as I remember,
these were the files missing for my Modo installation too.I could install Modo on my Arch based Manjaro but it refused
to start.
"run in Terminal" finally showed that it misses dependencies.
I searched package manager and found something similar named.
Which I installed and luckily made Modo able to run ....0
